Maria is an experienced attorney with a passion for handling municipal matters. After earning both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Kansas, Maria began her legal career as a prosecutor and later as a research attorney for the Kansas Supreme Court, where she honed valuable research and writing skills. She then served as an Assistant City Attorney and the City Attorney for cities in Kansas for over 13 years. In those capacities, Maria handled a broad range of legal issues for local governments, helping tackle the unique challenges of municipal representation.

Maria enjoys assisting clients in all aspects of municipal operations and providing general guidance to ensure legal compliance, while supporting operational goals. She has extensive experience related to police and fire services, drafting ordinances and contracts, and developing and reviewing a wide variety of policies. Maria currently serves the City of Boerne and the City of Fredericksburg.
