A recipient of the full Board of Regents Scholarship, Tammy received her J.D. in 1997. She began her legal career with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, where she served in the Appellate, Civil, and Federal Litigation Sections. Tammy left the District Attorney’s Office for private practice in 2019 and has joined Taylor, Olson, Adkins, Sralla & Elam, LLP as Of Counsel.

Tammy has managed and served as lead counsel on over a hundred litigation cases from inception to trial. She has spent the substantial portion of her 26-year legal career defending municipalities and their elected officials and employees. Her practice includes general litigation as well as federal civil rights litigation in complex, high-profile matters involving custodial deaths, use of force, and denial of medical care claims. In addition to her trial and appellate experience, Tammy also advised employers in their efforts to minimize the risk of litigation and achieve the greatest chance of success in defending against legal action.
